productive trip to the Yucatan area of Mexico ministering with missionaries Odis &amp; Betty Seals and their two adult daughters Angie &amp; Becky.  This was a conbination of a work and ministry trip.  The team did work by day and had meetings in the evenings.  They were able to build 2 screen doors, 11 window screens, 4 children tables, 8 children benches and a huge cabnet.  The work was a great blessing to the missionaries.  The team was able to minister to children &amp; youth on Saturday, to the churches on Sunday and in the evenings during the week.</p>\x0a<p>Odis &amp; Betty have spent 42 years in the Yucatan preaching the Gospel, establishing churches and training nationals.  They have established six churches and a Bible Institute.  The work is continuing through the ministry of nationals and through Angie &amp; Becky.  The girls do the administration work, children&#8217;s ministries, ladies ministries, 6 VBS&#8217;s during the summer and help with the Bible Institute.  They are doing a great work.</p>\x0a<p>There are people groups in the Yucatan that have not yet heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The goal of missions in the Yucatan is to preach the Gospel until every tribe has heard.   </p>\x0a                </div>\x0a            </li>\x0a        \x0a\x0a        \x0a\x0a        \x0a\x0a        \x0a        \x0a        \x0a        \x0a        \x0a\x0a                        \x0a    \x0a        \x0a            <li class="tumblr_post tumblr_text_post">\x0a                \x0a                    <div class="tumblr_title">Colonial AutoFest 2009 - Even in the Cold!</div>\x0a                \x0a                \x0a                <div class="tumblr_body">\x0a                    <p>Great day even with the cold and threat of rain.  Brother Bruce Frye was an incredible blessing with music, testimony and one on one witnessing.  The cold produced a lower turn out for cars and attendees, but it was still a great day.  If you weren&#8217;t there, then you missed a blessing.</p>\x0a<p><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2563/4037170837_15334b8a05.jpg" width="440" height="462"/></p>\x0a                </div>\x0a            </li>\x0a        \x0a\x0a        \x0a\x0a        \x0a\x0a        \x0a        \x0a        \x0a        \x0a        \x0a\x0a                        \x0a    \x0a        \x0a            <li class="tumblr_post tumblr_text_post">\x0a                \x0a                    <div class="tumblr_title">Pastor Joel Shares From the Heart!</div>\x0a                \x0a                \x0a                <div class="tumblr_body">\x0a                    <p><u>Powerful Men’s Rally at Colonial</u></p>\x0a<p>Saturday, October 24<sup>th</sup>, was a very special night at Colonial  Baptist Church for our men.  One hundred fifty-four men from area churches, and Colonial, gathered to seek God together.  The singing was Christ-honoring and lively, the fellowship was sweet, and the preaching was powerful and heart-stirring.  Many men flocked to the front of the church in response to Evangelist’s Tom Farrell’s message on “Spiritual success.”</p>\x0a<p>I went forward at the invitation as my heart was struck with conviction about areas in my life screaming for Godly improvement.  Some of those areas included making more God-honoring and specific goals as a Father, husband, and student of the Word.  I told the Lord that I would be making specific goals to improve in these areas for my good and for His glory!</p>\x0a<p>This rally wets our appetite, men, for more of the same soul-stirring preaching and music at the <u>Men’s Prayer Advance</u>, January 28<sup>th</sup>-30<sup>th</sup>, 2010.  Men, would you consider joining me as we seek to be the Godly men that our God expects us to be!</p>\x0a<p>Pastor Joel Wegner, Associate Pastor of Youth &amp; 2009 was First Responders Sunday at Colonial Baptist Church and we sought to honor all those who serve our communities and our country in time of natural and man made disasters as well as in the day to day fight against crime and the needs for emergency medical intervention to save lives.  Firefighters, EMT&#8217;s and police officers are our everyday heroes that often go un-thanked so we at Colonial decided to honor all of these brave men and women with a special service at our church as well as a huge potluck dinner for them and their families following the morning service.</p>\x0a<p>The video tribute below was shown in the service and touched many hearts.  We would like to share it now with you.  If you are a first responder in the Blue Ridge, VA area and you
